With Greg Lougheed of Lougheed Biodiesel. Greg has been making biodiesel for over 4 years and is now working as a consultant.
Spend a day with a master biodiesel maker. Greg will cover feedstocks, one and two stage biodiesel reactions, required equipment, biodiesel quality, vehicle compatibility, cold weather issues, manufacturing, water usage, methanol recovery, disposal of wastes. Greg will also show the titration method of testing the quality of waste vegetable oil. This is an excellent primer for anyone wishing to start working with biodiesel. Whether you just want to learn more so you can decide whether or not to use biodiesel, or you want to make your own brew, this class will help you get underway.
Tea and coffee will be available at this workshop. Please bring your own lunch- and a travel mug if you have one!
